NEW SIGNING Billy Roast believes that Concord Rangers are the perfect club for an ambitious footballer to develop.
Beach Boys manager, Adam Flanagan, has already brought in former Southend United striker Jason Williams, along with Jordan Cox and Jordan Sanderson as his side look to push in amongst the National League South promotion contenders. And the addition of the stylish former Colchester United central defender adds further claim that Concord means business ahead of the new campaign.
“I think Concord are the perfect club for young players looking to progress, as there is so much opportunity for players to shine at this club, he told Concord’s official website. “The manager gives young players a chance and it’s up to the individual to express themselves and take that opportunity. I have a real desire to get back into the professional game, and this is a great club to really push myself on.”
And Roast, who also enjoyed spells with Maldon & Tiptree and AFC Hornchurch, was confident that Concord would push for honours, adding: “I don’t think you can go into any season not confident. We should be looking to contend for the title and to be as successful as we can possibly be. I’m really confident about the season ahead, I can’t wait for it to start.”
