JOIN Wickford Rotary for its Jazz on a Summer Evening event at RHS Hyde Hall, Chelmsford, this Saturday, July 1, and help raise money for St Luke’s Hospice
The evening, in the beautiful gardens of Hyde Hall, in Westerns Approach, Creephedge Lane, includes entertainment from The Sunshine Kings jazz band, who are well known in the jazz circle and have entertained crowds at the annual event for the last couple of years.
It will be the 10th year that Wickford Rotary’s Jazz on a Summer Evening will be held at Hyde Hall.
It is an opportunity to roam the lovely gardens during the evening and watch the sun set by the lake, while listening to some great traditional jazz and helping the Rotary club support St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon at the same time.
Last year’s jazz evening raised £2,189 for the hospice, which helped buy a defibrillator and specialised furniture for the use of its patients.
Members of Wickford Rotary are proud to have been supporting St Luke’s, a charity run organisation that provides respite and end of life care to the chronically sick in the area, since its inception in 1983.
Tickets for the event, which runs from 6.30pm to 10pm, cost £14 for adults and £6 for children aged four to 14.
You can take your own picnics as well as seats to the event, but please be aware that no gazebos are allowed.
As well as fantastic entertainment there will also be a raffle with some great prizes.
For tickets call RHS Hyde Hall on 020 3176 5830 between, 9am and 5pm, today and tomorrow.
